You can't plan for unexpected moments but you can adapt. Whilst I'm learning weather patterns and positions of the sun etc better then when I started I still go out alot of the time with the mindset "what will be, will be." I find the surprises you get out there thrilling and then challenging adapting to that moment. ⁣

That evening the #highlandcattle had gone in hiding, I couldn't find them anywhere. About 20 mins before sunset I gave up and headed back to the car only to notice in the distance the cattle streaming out of a farm and been shepherded back to the mainland of #baslowedge.⁣

I went round facing the main gate and there they were looking all majestic stood panting after a decent jaunt across the fields. It was cloudy with small gaps in the clouds on the horizon. In a couple of short moments the sun blazed through and lit up the whole area in gorgeous light. The rays back lighting the Coos and highlighting their breath. It was pretty atmospheric and I'm sure I could hear a church choir in the background 🤣🤣 ⁣

Moments like these are why I return to the places I love again and again.
